Originally from Scotland...

... but hubby and I have chosen to call Cumbria in the North West of England our 'forever' home.

I love the massive skies with the ever changing, amazing and wonderful cloud formations, the fabulous shapes and colours of nature on the fells, and I'm just as inspired by the shapes and colours in our garden!

With the sounds of the River Eden gently rippling past at the bottom of the garden, and the added environment of the historic Cumbrian market town of Kirkby Stephen, we truly feel we have come home!

I always painted but wasn't allowed to go to art school, so I've attended as many workshops or tutorials or paid for online courses as I can - to learn and experiment with new techniques and to try out new media, ideas and products. I seem to have a different style depending on the medium I use - so there's no specific style but my works are usually recognised by the vibrant use of colours and shapes!

And I have developed into a mixed media artist since I have discovered Gelli plate printing and collage  - it is addictive!

I've opened another page to show what I'm making - 'paintings' using the handpulled Gelli print papers, brooches, earrings, necklaces, fridge magnets and bookmarks - so nothing gets wasted!

In the past, I've sold my work through several galleries in Scotland and from local exhibitions in the East Midlands, as well as from my home gallery, Saatchi Art and the ex T'aint Modern and ART@23 galleries in Kirkby Stephen.
